Only one "Primary Address" has
to be "Confirmed" |
Actual email:
"This shipping address is my
parents house, my school address is
unconfirmed. Is there any way I
could have you ship to my school
address..."
--------------------------------------------
Actual reply:
Go ahead and add your school address.
It does not need to be "Confirmed"
just add it to your PayPal
shipping addresses. You are only
required to provide one primary, "Confirmed Address",then
you can add up to 28 other "ship to"
addresses. Really!

Only the primary address
(verified by your bank account or
credit card) is formally "Confirmed".

PayPal accepts all
your additional "ship to" addresses
as "OK." Otherwise
members
couldn't ship to work,
Mom, a girlfriend, etc.

want AT EBAY CHECKOUT (see

Winter shipping
(more) I ship all year round; every business day
that FedEx Ground or USPS are open. Preventing frozen
plant damage at your destination is your responsibility; please read this info
if you live in a region subject to freezing
temperatures
Steps to prevent a frozen plant... |

Packing &
unpacking |
 |
|
Please unpack carefullydo not rush!

The more elaborate the plant (limbs, buds, etc.) the more
elaborately it is packaged and the more care you must give to unpacking.

Get organized; plenty of space on a table, garbage can for tossing packing
material, etc.
You need a utility knife, scissors, or sharp paring knife to gently cut off
the protective layers over your plant. Tan tape is used so you can see it
against the bubble wrap. Only short tape strips are used to allow easier removal
without harming the plant.

Plant falls over and breaks!
Oh, no!
Tall plants in 6" wide "rooting pots" are top heavy and not very stable.
Until you have time to repot place in a corner where no one will knock it over. Or,
set it inside a larger pot (pad with
a towel?), anything that has the stable weight to prevent tip over. |

USPS?
or FedEx Ground? |
FedEx requires a street address. Only USPS
can deliver to a Post Office Box; but private postal places such as Mail Boxes,
Etc. will receive FedEx Ground.
I generally ship only relatively light weight plants/cuttings by USPS Priority
Mail due to cost. It is expensive for heavy packages, but not too bad if the
distance is short. FedEx Ground is always the best choice for heavy packages.
Better insurance, tracking, lower cost.
If there is no USPS shipping rate calculator in the auction that means shipping
will be by FedEx. |
| PO Box? |
Only USPS can deliver to a Post Office Box; but
private postal places such as Mail Boxes, Etc. will receive FedEx Ground. If
there is no USPS shipping rate calculator in the auction that means shipping
will be by FedEx. So you have to provide a street address. (Use a friend's
address? A local business? Your work address?) |
USA only Shipping |
USA only; no export I cannot do customs
and export documentation to ship to Canada, Australia, or Europe. Continental
USA only for FedEx Ground. |
|
Ship to your work address? |
FedEx Ground charges an extra fee for home delivery
so using your work address can save a few dollars. It may also be a good idea
during freezing weather so the plant isn't left out on your porch. |
Combined Shipping
discounts |
Small, light weight items may
be shipped by USPS. Most orders can be combined into a
single shipment. I commonly make up 20 to 30 pound packages of cuttings and
rooted tips together--no problem. However, sometimes I sell large
specimens that are awkward for combining with other plants. I'll work with you
to get the best rates. 70 pounds is the limit per package for FedEx. |
| Insurance |
The best insurance is expert packing! FedEx Ground
shipments are always insured and tracked. In the rare instance that there is
damage just repack in the same box and I'll arrange for a "call tag" for FedEx
to pick up. To get a refund from me you have to return the item first. |
